We drove north thru Teton NP, entered via Granite Canyon. A short stop at Moose WY and then we were off to search for actual moose.
And before 11a we saw not just one but TWO moose! They were pretty deeply bedded down but still very exciting to see such huge antlers (still w lots of felt).
We took a good break at Colter Bay and ate huckleberry ice cream! The wind was furious so we threw rocks into the late and loaded back up in the van.
Since it was so early in the day we decided to pass our reservation at Flagg Ranch and head into Yellowstone NP!
We drove by Yellowstone lake and ended up staying at Canyon Village.
The excitement of the evening was SNOW while we were fixing dinner. We met some cool full timers and crashed. All this driving is exhausting (said in jest!).
Things to remember:
• wildlife-elk, deer, huge bison herd, bald eagle
• the wind at Jackson lake and filter bay
