After the last few weekends of relentless Spring Snow Storms, the Front Range has finally hit spring. The last few days pushed the daffodils up, and the trees to budding. John had to trim the edges for log grass and the sprinklers are ready and armed. The warm weather has been a blessing but today we spotted the 2nd wildfire of the year near Boulder. The first was just 3 weeks ago. High Desert Plains and cigarette butts don't mix!
Kristen has started traveling for work again. She is supporting a project in Raleigh, NC. She is hoping to meet up with her cousin Allison and her husband Fostur, who is stationed at Ft. Bragg. It is always fun to be able to visit with friends and family when on business travel. Takes a bit of the home sick out of it and makes the trip a bit more palatable!

This weekend, John spent 2 days at Trail Crew Leader Training for
Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance (BMA) to help out with some of their summer projects of trail construction and some maintenance. The course was taught by three people from
OSI (Outdoor Stewardship Institute) whom have probably 50-60 years of total years of experience. Steve, Bob and Terri Thanks! Now with this training , John can help out BMA and Boulder County Trails with trail construction on a newly approved trail linking two open space parks (Heil and Hall Ranches). The primary trail users are mountain bikers but support from the multi-user community is coming together to bring Boulder County more sustainable trails.
Reminder that Tuesday April 22nd is Earth Day! All days are really but Tuesday accentuates the idea on how we can better the planet for future generations. Search the web and see how you can contribute. Recycle, Reduce, Reuse....
