It's been awhile!

The summer is starting to draw to an end. The evenings are darker sooner and the mornings are cooler. This week has been so cool in the morning that I have had to don a fleece just for the short ride to the coffee shop and then to work.

We started going to the local city recreation center where they have a kids wading pool and slides. The little guy was a bit hesitant and clingy the first time but soon was frolicking about like any other kid in the pool. He loved going up and down the small slide and he can just about climb the stairs and slide down all by himself.

We are starting to notice that the asthmatic conditions are starting to resurface for the little guy. We initiated nebulizer treatments again and we think he will be on the steroids and albuterol treatments for awhile. We did see improvement when the summer came but now as the days are starting to feel more autumn like we have had to restart the treatments. Thanks to everyone at Pixar Films in making child friendly movies that keep his attention long enough for us to get two treatments in a day.

The little guy has switched his favorite movie from Madagascar to Cars. We have started a small collection of the diecast cars from the movie and we'll send out a Christmas list for those that we are having trouble locating. He currently loves all things Cars with PJs, toys and books that are based on the movie. You can see the little twinkle in his eye when we turn it on and sometimes he finds the remote and brings it to us so we can turn it on for him to watch. Reluctant to get our kid hooked on TV so early, it sure is nice to be able to have free time and hands to do house chores while he is occupied with the movie.

That's enough for now as I need to get Luna to the vet to get checked out for bugs in her digestive system. All I have to say is THANK YOU for laminate/linoleum floors. If you have dogs and you don't have them, INVEST!
