Our last day in Italy....(for at least a while...we will come back!)
With an early flight, we get up at 4am to catch a taxi to the airport. It's so early that we arrive before the ticket agents do! We leave for Frankfurt at 6:50a, and fly over the Alps just as the sun is coming up. AMAZING! With a long layover in Frankfurt, we pass the time playing cards and check out Franziskaner's weiss beer products - Hefe-Weisse.
After the long flight home, we're delayed landing in Denver due to snow - the long runway isn't plowed. Once we (finally) land, and get thru immigration, our luggage is delayed due to frozen cargo doors!
After driving home, dropping off Andy & Rachel, we crash - hard. It feels like we've been awake for 2 days, and we nearly have! HA!
Unpacking will have to wait for tomorrow...but we'll dream of Italy (until we get back!)
